Requirements :

  • College degree in any business-related course
  • At least 2 years work experience as Buyer, preferably gained from food service industry
  • Strong sourcing and negotiating skills
  • Highly organized and works effectively with people across all levels in the organization
  • Strong time management, task-management & negotiation skills
  • With high sense of urgency, proactive, focused on delivering result
  • Process-oriented
  • Proficient in MS Office applications, MS Excel
  • Hands-on experience with SAP is an advantage

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Seek suitable suppliers and contractors in coordination with users for required materials, supplies and services.
  • Negotiate for best prices on purchased goods and contracted services with the end goal of deriving best ultimate value.
  • Accreditation of new suppliers and materials.
  • Maintain records of prices of all materials (ingredients and packaging).
  • Coordinate with Planners/Logistics counterparts on materials requirement plan and delivery schedules.
  • Follow-up/expedite deliveries with suppliers.
  • Determine and recommend acceptable substitute materials with the approval of the requesting department/operations.
  • Coordinate with Finance Department for suppliers check payments.
